Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of Rapid Return’s website, app, and tax return services.
Last updated: 28 February 2026
Rapid Return is an Australian online tax return preparation and lodgement service. Where we lodge a return for you, we do so in our capacity as a Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) registered tax agent (Tax Agent Number: 26257475).
By accessing or using Rapid Return, you agree to these Terms of Service (Terms). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Definitions
Rapid Return, we, us means Rapid Return Pty Ltd and its related bodies corporate.
You means the person or entity using the service.
Service means our website/app, dashboards, tools, and any tax return preparation and lodgement workflow.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity on your account.
3. What we provide
Rapid Return provides software and workflows designed to help you prepare an Australian individual tax return, and (where applicable) we lodge that return with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on your behalf after you authorise us.
We may pre-fill or sync some information from the ATO and other data sources where available, but you remain responsible for reviewing and confirming the accuracy and completeness of your return before lodgement.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide information that is true, complete, and not misleading.
- Keep records to substantiate claims (for example, receipts and logbooks) as required by the ATO.
- Promptly respond to requests for clarification or supporting documentation.
- Tell us if you become aware of an error or omission in a lodged return so we can discuss options (including an amendment).
5. Fees, payment, and refunds
Fees (if any) are shown to you during the Service. Unless stated otherwise, fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and may change over time.
If you are eligible for our Maximum Refund Guarantee, it is limited to a refund of our fee and is subject to the conditions published for that guarantee.
Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may apply and nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude non-excludable rights.
6. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service (including features) at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
7. Prohibited use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to submit false or fraudulent information.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or our systems.
- Do not scrape or copy the Service in a way that breaches these Terms or applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
Rapid Return and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Service. You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Tax outcomes depend on your circumstances and the information you provide. Estimates shown in the Service are indicative only and the ATO determines your final result in your Notice of Assessment.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Our liability for direct loss is limited to resupplying the Service or refunding fees paid for the relevant Service, at our option, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant Australian state or territory.
